Built in 1095 the fantastic Alpirsbach Monastery located in Alpirsbach, Germany. The founded Alpirsbach Monastery was founded by Count Adalbert of Zollern and became a monk settlement. The building was stripped as a catholic monastery in 1535. Alpirsbach Monastery has continued to be used by protestants.
Located in the Central Black Forest in the Kinzig Valley. The town is predominately known for its local brewery, however the town I am sure you will agree has a lot more to offer, including this fabulous monastery which is now over 900 years old.
